Nestle Recalls Some Lean Cuisine Entrees

Nestle Prepared Foods Co. is recalling three of its Lean Cuisine entrees that might contain small pieces of blue plastic.

The entrees being recalled are Pesto Chicken with Bow Tie Pasta, Chicken Mediterranean and Chicken Tuscan, all produced between Aug. 18 and Oct. 27. The problem was brought to Nestlé’s attention by customer who called complaining about finding plastic in their food.

The recalls involves about 875,000 pounds of frozen Lean. This is the third major recall this year by Nestle involving frozen foods that were found to contain pieces of plastic, according to a legal web site, AboutLawsuits.com.

At least one consumer has reported suffering an injury as result of the plastic in these meals, according to the legal web site.
