Petro Stopping Centers Get High Marks for Food
Petro Stopping Centers was named "favorite truck stop" in an independent truck driver survey conducted annually by Overdrive Magazine.
In the 2008 survey, drivers across the United States responded to a variety of questions about truck stops and rated the brands they experience. When asked to select their favorite truck stop Petro was the overwhelming No. 1 choice in ten categories.
Petro Stopping Centers took the No. 1 spot in a variety of foodservice categories including best restaurant (Iron Skillet), best food, best breakfast, best buffets and best restaurant coffee.
Iron Skillet is known for its hearty food including Steak Lovers Delight, Smothered Chicken Breast, Chicken Fried Pork Loin with Eggs, Blueberry Pancakes, all of which retail for between $5.79 to 11.99.
Other categories where it took number one ratings were in best employees, best truck parking, safest parking, cleanest showers, best maintenance shops and best travel stores.
Petro Stopping Centers, which operates 70 truck stop and travel centers is owned by TravelCenters of America LLC, based in Westlake, Ohio.
